AMFTool V1.2.5 is not like that at all. First thing i noticed is how lightweight it is. The whole setup takes barely any space. You can run it on an old Windows 7 laptop without issues. First thing i did was open the tool. Just double clicked the AMFTool 1.2.5 shortcut on my desktop. Make sure your internet is working before you do this because the tool checks for updates when it launches. Mine opened up in about three seconds on a pretty average laptop.
Then i selected the processor type. On the left side of the tool window there is a list of options. Since i was working on a Snapdragon phone i clicked Qualcomm. If you have a Mediatek phone click MTK. Samsung users have their own dedicated section which is nice.
Next i searched for my phone model. Right in the middle of the window there is a search bar. I typed the model number and it popped up instantly in the dropdown. Selected it and moved on. Take your time here because picking the wrong model can mess things up bad.
Then i picked what i wanted to do. On the right side there are all the action buttons. I needed FRP reset so i clicked that. If you need IMEI repair or lock reset those buttons are right there too. Everything is clearly labeled.
Connected the phone via USB. I used the original cable that came with the phone. This is actually important. Cheap cables from the dollar store will give you connection errors all day. The phone was already in the correct mode for the operation i was doing.
Waited for it to finish. The tool detected the phone right away and started doing its thing. I just sat there and watched the log scroll by. Took maybe a minute and a half total. The key thing here is do not touch the phone or the cable while it is running. Just let it do its job.
Disconnected and restarted. Once it showed success i pulled the cable out and powered the phone back on. The FRP lock was gone. Phone booted up like it was fresh out of the box. Done.
Serious warning here. If you yank the cable out while the tool is writing to your phone you can permanently brick it. Like dead forever bricked. I have seen it happen to people who get impatient. Also always backup your data before trying anything. There is no undo button for most of these operations.

How I Used AMFTool 1.2.5 - Step by Step Guide
Okay so here is exactly how i used this tool on my test phone. I am going to walk you through the whole process the way i actually did it. Not some copied and pasted generic guide.First thing i did was open the tool. Just double clicked the AMFTool 1.2.5 shortcut on my desktop. Make sure your internet is working before you do this because the tool checks for updates when it launches. Mine opened up in about three seconds on a pretty average laptop.
Then i selected the processor type. On the left side of the tool window there is a list of options. Since i was working on a Snapdragon phone i clicked Qualcomm. If you have a Mediatek phone click MTK. Samsung users have their own dedicated section which is nice.
Next i searched for my phone model. Right in the middle of the window there is a search bar. I typed the model number and it popped up instantly in the dropdown. Selected it and moved on. Take your time here because picking the wrong model can mess things up bad.
Then i picked what i wanted to do. On the right side there are all the action buttons. I needed FRP reset so i clicked that. If you need IMEI repair or lock reset those buttons are right there too. Everything is clearly labeled.
Connected the phone via USB. I used the original cable that came with the phone. This is actually important. Cheap cables from the dollar store will give you connection errors all day. The phone was already in the correct mode for the operation i was doing.
Waited for it to finish. The tool detected the phone right away and started doing its thing. I just sat there and watched the log scroll by. Took maybe a minute and a half total. The key thing here is do not touch the phone or the cable while it is running. Just let it do its job.
Disconnected and restarted. Once it showed success i pulled the cable out and powered the phone back on. The FRP lock was gone. Phone booted up like it was fresh out of the box. Done.
Serious warning here. If you yank the cable out while the tool is writing to your phone you can permanently brick it. Like dead forever bricked. I have seen it happen to people who get impatient. Also always backup your data before trying anything. There is no undo button for most of these operations.
